We received this email as well. I am so glad I decided to investigate.

On 5th, August, 2010, we received an application from MEIHUA Group requested”***”
as their internet keyword and China (CN) domain names. But after checking ,we find this name is conflict with
your company’s name or trademark. In order to deal with this issue better, it’s necessary to send this email to you
and confirm with your company whether this company is your distributor or business partner in China?

Yes another scam below is another version of what was sent to one of our clients causing some distress… We did respond reading the riot act to the below scamer…shock horror … we never received a reply back,… to old saying appears true again… “If they look like a rat, smell like a rat they usually are RATS”>

On July 13, 2010, we received an application formally. One company named “Derueng International, Inc” wanted to applied for the internet trademark ” —hidden company name— ” and some domain names through our body.

Now we are handling with the registration of these domain names and find that the keyword of these names is identical with your company’s. So we have to confirm with you at 3 points:
1. Is this”Derueng International, Inc” your Asian agent or branch here?
2. If your company consign Derueng company to register these names, we will send application form to them and finish the registeration within 24 hours.

Tina is at it again & her prices are 3-4 times the market rate. Expensive lady. We have taken defensive action, but all Asian registry appears tricky from Europe.

Email I recieved is below. What are they trying to scam us into doing. He didn’t ask for any money or personal info.

We are a domain name disputed registration service company in HongKong, which mainly deal with international company’s in Asia,We have something important need to confirm with your company.

On the Apr. 15, 2010, we received an application formally. One company named J.E & Being Holding Limited applied for the internet keyword “xxxxxxxx” and some domain names relevant to this trademark from our organization..
According to our procedures and in order to protect your intellectual property rights, we need to send this email to the original company for confirming the actual relationship with this company. because that may relate to your intellectual property on internet. Now we have not finished the registration of J.E & Being Holding Limited yet, in order to deal with this issue better and not to confuse registering these domain names, please let someone who is responsible for trademark or domain name contact me as soon as possible.

In addition, we hereby affirm that our time is limited for dissent application . If your company files no dissent within the time limit,we will unconditionally approve the application submitted by J.E & Being Holding Limited.

In answer to that we did the following as a very tough measure.
1. We informed them not to contact us again in regards to that as they will be voilating the anti-spam legislation (Our council is on stand by).
2. We have notified http://www.antispam.gov.hk/ and raised a issue against the company.
3. We have also notified http://www.ftc.gov/spam/ and raised a issue against this company.

Hope it will help some one who wants to take a stand against this spam tactics.
